As 2009 comes to an end, I wanted to thank my staff, my family, my friends, my colleagues, and, especially, my patients for a wonderful year. You say, how can it be wonderful with unprecedented unemployment rates, economic recession, lack of confidence in our government, et cetera

Well, we have been blessed to have patients seeking our services and, thereby, allowing us to provide to them not only more hair or fewer wrinkles, but with a new outlook on life. The perceived mismatch between how they felt inside compared to what they saw in the mirror has been corrected. And, it feels fantastic for me, along with my staff, to have created this sense of higher self esteem and sell confidence in our patients.

Just last week, a 38-year-old patient told me that his new hair was the best Christmas gift he could have ever received. A 50-year-old female patient told me, “Dr. Leonard, you saved my life”. Those who have not lost their hair nor have thinning hair cannot perhaps understand the devastation women often experience about losing their hair. This particular woman had been clinically depressed and felt totally overwhelmed because she thought there was nothing that could be done about her hair loss. I started her on low level laser therapy and Rogaine Foam nearly a year ago, which stopped her hair from constantly shedding---this, alone, made her feel much better. We then transplanted her just over six months ago. Early, but very noticeable new hair growth is now occurring, which led her to her statement to me last week. A physician couldn’t get a better compliment!

This year we celebrated a landmark anniversary: twenty years since I founded Leonard Hair Transplant Associates. I truly cannot believe that this many years have passed! Can’t wait for the next twenty…

                                                Happy Holidays
