Appearance in GET Magazine and treating the gay/lesbian community for hair loss

I started off the new decade by being interviewed about the state-of-the-art in hair restoration by GET Magazine, Rhode Island’s major publication for the gay and lesbian community.  Not only that, but I was asked to be photographed for its cover!  It was a great photo shoot that resulted in several images for the magazine. For the 24 years I have specialized in hair restoration surgery, I have welcomed patients from these communities.  One of the most gratifying aspects of gays as patients is that they often will readily discuss their transplant procedures with family and friends.  They understand that others concerned about losing their hair appreciate a first-hand recommendation to a doctor who has helped them.  Frederick Murphy, aka Fast Freddy of Mix 104.1 FM in Boston and an entertainer, is a patient who has made several friends feel comfortable in deciding to have their transplants by me after seeing Fred’s own transplant results.

I am honored to have been chosen to be the physician hair loss expert on the Ask the Expert section of the Rogaine.com website.  Rogaine Foam is the latest (and greatest) formulation of the very effective treatment for hair loss.  Rogaine Foam

Johnson and Johnson, the company that now owns the Rogaine brand, has made a very positive decision for hair loss sufferers to provide wonderful education for the general public.  As part of this educational campaign, the website now poses excellent commonly-asked hair loss related questions that I answer.  Check out www.rogaine.com.
Additionally, I went to New York City recently to shoot a video news release about the treatments of hair loss.  It is an approximately two minute video that has been shown   throughout the country.  Keep an eye out for it on your local evening news broadcast and on You Tube!   Have a great day!
