Leonard Hair Transplant Associates Adds New Hair Restoration Surgeon to Practice

This is one of the most exciting announcements for Leonard Hair Transplant Associates (LHTA) I have made in the last several years, the addition of my very first associate hair transplant surgeon!
I am happy and proud to welcome Dr. Matthew Lopresti to join my team and me in taking care of all of our patients. Dr. Lopresti and I met nine years ago when he was a medical student who spent months training with me, we have kept in touch over the years. I receive an average of three to four e-mails and phone calls per month from doctors all over the country and world asking me to train them in hair restoration surgery. When I finally decided it was time for me to bring on another surgeon into the practice, he was the first (and, honestly, only) person I was going to ask.
Dr. Leonard and Dr. LoprestiI have worked extraordinarily hard for the last 27 years, evaluating and treating men and women with hair loss and am the only hair restoration surgeon at LHTA. Coupled with creating an excellent reputation and brand to be proud of, I decided that I needed help as the practice has grown considerably over the last few years.
It is an extremely difficult decision for a private practitioner to share what he has built for more than a quarter century with someone else-believe me; it is really tough. I needed someone in whom I could trust on multiple levels-the highest of which would be taking care of “my” patients. I have been told by a number of colleagues that bringing on another doctor is like having another marriage. I have been happily married to the love of my life for thirty years; HOWEVER, I’m not up for another one!
Additionally, how could anyone else possibly treat patients the way I do?! Well, I found the right guy in Dr. Lopresti and I am so happy that he agreed to join us. He truly is the “chosen one” who will make LHTA even better than I was able to do as LHTA’s sole surgeon.
He has trained directly under my total supervision for more than a year now in the surgical techniques and medical approaches I use in treating our patients.
He is ready, willing, and able to fly on his own in all aspects in taking care of patients both medically and surgically. In fact, he is my point person in using the ARTAS® Robotic System in providing FUE harvesting at LHTA.
To make it crystal clear, I trust him implicitly in carrying on all clinical aspects I do in the practice. He will be performing an ARTAS® procedure on me over the next couple of months-how’s that for a stamp of approval?
My first surgical openings are being booked five months from now. Now that Dr. Lopresti is fully and competently trained, we have opened up many more surgical slots as soon as next month for him to perform.
