Matt – Hair Loss Patient

After noticing that his hair was thinning, Matt came to Dr. Robert Leonard and decided it was time to do something about it. In this clip, Matt explains why he decided to act....and how pleased he and everyone else is with the results!

MATT: A number of years ago I noticed I was losing my hair rapidly in the front, as well as the crown. I had just decided that it wasn’t a good look for me. So I had looked into—began researching what might be available for cosmetic surgery. I wasn’t happy with a weave or a wig or anything like that, a hairpiece. In discovering that there was an actual surgery that moved your own hair around; it sounded a little more intriguing, so I looked into that to see what was available there. There were two things that were going to sell me on this. One was it had to be my own hair, and secondly it had to be perfect. In this case, it was both. I saw no need to look any further. This procedure was the procedure for me. I had seen an advertisement for Dr. Leonard on television and thought almost immediately that this was my opportunity. This was the way to go. In doing a little more research and talking to people who had had treatments from Dr. Leonard before, he came highly recommended, so Dr. Leonard was the choice for me. When I decided I wanted to do something about my hair loss, there was a side of me that couldn’t come to grips with spending any kind of money for hair restoration. To me it was a natural progression. My father was bald, my brothers. All the male members of the family suffer from hair loss. So why should I be any different and do anything more about it? I have never quit at anything I’ve ever done my whole life. And when I knew I was losing hair, it was just natural for me to accept the challenge and do whatever I could to maintain my hair and my look. I saw friends of mine who had, in my opinion, given up and just shaved their heads. I just decided I was not going to do that, and as is my nature, I fought back, and I used the availability of the technology we have today, which is excellent technology, and the fact that it was my own hair. Yes, I benefited from a day and age when we can do something like this and still have a natural look. They absolutely cannot believe how good it looks. In spite of myself, I laugh inwardly because it’s nice that they like the way it looks, and that of course makes me feel good, but it certainly was not my goal. I simply didn’t want to lose my hair.
