Description
Three months after his hair transplantation surgery, John started to see his hair growing again. John, who is a radio personality, refers to Dr. Robert Leonard as the consummate professional who understands what hair loss patients are going through. He also says it's obvious Dr. Leonard has "passion" for his work and "compassion" for his clients. John says he highly recommends Dr. Leonard to anyone searching for a real solution to hair loss.

JOHN: I first noticed my hair disappearing when I used to take a shower during my high school years, and it just got progressively worse. By my 20s, it was pretty much gone. Being bald at such a young age—I’m in my 50s now, but around the age of 20 to 25 there was no state-of-the-art techniques such as Dr. Leonard uses today. Virtually, I just kind of accepted it.
In the past it was an absolute nightmare for people. You heard about the painful plugs, something I wouldn’t do. You heard about, of course, the toupees, and you saw them. They were not good looking. It never occurred to me to do that. Even some silly spray paint polish that people sprayed on their head to cover the bald spot. That just was not me.
I went in to see Dr. Leonard at his office for a free consultation. I had many questions, probably more than he wanted to answer. But when I left after that consultation, I had decided to go ahead and try this.
I thought I had an abundance of self-confidence, that I looked good and felt good. And then I received the transplant from Dr. Leonard, and my whole mood lifted. Everything was just different. Everything felt like a new adventure every day. Certainly a lot more self-confidence. I started combing my hair every morning and looking in the mirror and just kind of chuckling that wow, I have hair.
As Big John, being known, traveling around and making appearances all over the state, people get used to a certain image, me being bald. And now my hair started to grow, and they were just amazed. The one thing that always happens to me—I’ll get in a public place, and people will actually say can I touch your hair? They’ll go and they’ll pull it, and they’ll play with it a little bit. Wow, it’s real. I explain the process to them. I say Dr. Leonard does a great job.
After being bald for 30 years and having Dr. Leonard transplant hair, my own hair, my own hair on the top of my head, is such a positive experience, and I’ve learned how to comb my hair again.
Then there’s the staff that works with you, gives you feedback about how you’re doing; also washes and shampoos you and checks you to make sure that everything’s going well. It just has been a totally positive experience all the way.
