Oh, the Weather Outside is Frightful…Again…Again…and Again!

Editor’s Note: This article was originally published in February 2015 during a series of major snowstorms in the Boston area and reflects temporary office closures at Leonard Hair Transplant Associates at that time. Dr. Robert Leonard retired from the practice in 2018 and no longer sees patients or performs hair transplant surgery.
How lucky are we to live and to practice in New England…except during the winter!
This is the third Monday in a row that we had to cancel office hours at our Leonard Hair Transplant Associates (LHTA) surgical office in Newton, Massachusetts.
I, more than anyone, know how inconvenient it is for our patients and for our entire practice to have to do this. I made the decision yet again due to a series of major snowstorms burying the Boston area, which caused very dangerous driving conditions on all of the roadways to our office. We also had to reschedule surgical patients from outside the region who were flying in for their hair transplants.
As is the same with our approach to patient and surgical care, safety for our patients and our LHTA team is paramount in my thoughts and actions. I apologize for these inconveniences for all concerned. I have a lot of control over many things within our practice; the weather, however is not one of them.
Stay safe and try to enjoy this winter wonderland!
