Leonard Hair Transplant Associates’ Surgeons to Present at 42nd Congress of the Italian Society for Hair Science and Restoration in Venice, Italy

Drs. Robert Leonard and Matt Lopresti to moderate panels on Follicular Unit Excision (FUE) Techniques and Body Hair Transplantation (BHT)

Newton Centre, MA – (May 22, 2017) – Dr. Robert Leonard, chief surgeon and founder of Leonard Hair Transplant Associates, and associate surgeon Dr. Matt Lopresti will present at the 42nd Congress of the Italian Society for Hair Science and Restoration (S.I.Tri.) in Venice, Italy, May 27 – 28, 2017. Dr. Leonard will moderate two panels focused on the latest in transplantation techniques including follicular-unit excision (FUE) and body hair transplantation (BHT). The speakers at the conference include influential experts in the area of hair restoration from across the globe.

“It’s an honor to moderate two panels on the very latest in hair restoration techniques,” said Dr. Robert Leonard. “Follicular unit excision is a minimally-invasive, natural looking transplant option in which individual hairs are harvested from a patient’s donor area and transplanted to the area in need. Hair can be harvested from a patient’s head or from another area of the body, as we see in body hair transplantation.”

In addition, Dr. Matthew Lopresti, of Leonard Hair Transplant Associates, will present the surgical case of a patient who developed a highly unusual infection with Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), bacteria that is resistant to many antibiotics. Doctors Lopresti and Leonard will share their experience and treatment of this patient.

The sessions at this year’s congress will cover a wide range of surgical and non-surgical hair restoration techniques and surgeons from around the world will share their best practices and case studies of success.

Dr. Leonard is New England’s foremost authority on hair restoration. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and a Fellow of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.
