New England’s foremost authority on hair restoration to cover surgical and non-surgical treatments of androgenetic alopecia

Cranston, RI – (April 4, 2017) – Dr. Robert Leonard, chief surgeon and founder of Leonard Hair Transplant Associates, will present at the 12th Annual Congress of the Lebanese Society of Dermatology in Beirut, April 27 – 29, 2017. The theme of this year’s conference is medical dermatology; Dr. Leonard will educate fellow attendees on the latest surgical and non-surgical treatments of androgenetic alopecia. He is one of just four doctors from the United States invited to participate in this international scientific meeting.

“It’s an honor to be invited to present at this important medical conference and to hear best practices in a variety of disciplines from physicians and surgeons from around the world,” said Dr. Robert Leonard.

The sessions will cover a wide range of dermatological and medical topics including: vascular anomalies, advances in lasers, challenges in medical dermatology, periorbital rejuvenation, hair diseases, pigmentary disorders, and autoimmune diseases.

Dr. Leonard will discuss the latest surgical and non-surgical treatment options for patients suffering with androgenetic alopecia, a common form of hair loss in men and women. More than 50 million men and 30 million women are estimated to suffer from this type of hair loss in the United States. Non-surgical FDA-approved options include the Capillus272 PRO laser device, Propecia® (finasteride 1mg) tablets and Rogaine Foam® (minoxidil 5%). Dr. Leonard will discuss the benefits of using these options as standalone treatments and in combination.

Dr. Leonard will also present the very latest technological offerings in surgical hair restoration including the ARTAS® Robotic System, additional follicular unit excision methods, and traditional strip harvesting.

Dr. Leonard is New England’s foremost authority on hair restoration. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and a Fellow of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.
