Seasonal Hair Loss

EM14My phone has been ringing off the hook since the Fourth of July from patients and members of the general public seeking my advice about their increased shedding of late.  Fear not; your medical treatments and laser therapy are not failing you.  We are smack in the middle of the dreaded semi-annual hair loss event:  SEASONAL HAIR LOSS.

That’s right—July and August are expected, though despised, months of increased hair shedding.  And, a lot can fall out.  Check out my November 2012 blog entry for specifics.  Suffice it to say, however, it is a self-limiting situation and the hairs that shed will re-grow.

Just a couple of more weeks…and then stabilization until the beginning of November when shedding occurs again…oh no!
