"I cannot stress the importance of getting ahead of this before it's too late. I’m so glad that I went to Dr. Lopresti and started the process."

Marc Lewis – Boston Influencer Turned Hairline Comeback King

If you’ve ever looked in the mirror or saw yourself in a video and felt a little frustrated with your hairline or thinning spots, you’re not alone. Boston’s own social media influencer Marc Lewis (@marclew1s) knows exactly how that feels.

Marc, now 33, first came to our Newton office in September 2023 after noticing thinning along his hairline and frontal area since his mid-20s. Like many patients, he wanted something natural, subtle, and most importantly, flexible, as he prefers keeping his hair short in the back.

“I started noticing my hair thinning in my mid-20s, especially at the hairline and front,” Marc told us. “It got to a point where I was always adjusting my hat or messing with my hair in photos or videos. I knew it was time to do something real about it.”

Marc underwent an FUE (Follicular Unit Excision) hair transplant in February 2024, and it was the right call. Here’s why:

· No linear scar – Just tiny, barely visible dots

· Short hair? No problem! – Perfect for Marc’s style

· Natural-looking results – Designed with artistry and precision

“We chose FUE because of Marc’s excellent donor density and his lifestyle,” says Dr. Lopresti. “Not only did he have strong donor hair, but he also wanted the flexibility to keep the back of his hair short. FUE is ideal for that, since it doesn’t leave a linear scar.”

On the day of the procedure, Marc arrived bright and early at 7 AM and was done by 1 PM. Before the surgery started, he and Dr. Lopresti collaborated on hairline design—a process that blends artistry with science. As Dr. Lopresti puts it: “Creating a natural hairline is like sculpting, it has to flow with the face shape, age, and hair growth pattern. It’s not just what looks good today, but what will look natural ten years from now.”

Marc received local anesthesia and comfortably laid prone while Dr. Lopresti meticulously extracted follicular grafts (each containing 1-4 hairs) from the donor area. These grafts were carefully placed into the thinning regions, matching the natural angle, direction, and depth of his hair.

“The process was way smoother than I expected,” Marc said. “Dr. Lopresti and his team made me feel totally at ease. And honestly, the results already have me feeling way more confident.”
