Dr. Robert Leonard Participates in First Ever Live Hair Restoration Workshop in Italy
CRANSTON, Rhode Island – Dr. Robert Leonard, Founder and Chief Surgeon of Leonard Hair Transplant Associates, co-directed the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery’s (ISHRS) first-of-its-kind interactive hair restoration surgical workshop earlier this month in Rome, Italy.
The live hair transplant surgery meeting, titled Made in Italy: Hair Restoration Live Surgery Workshop, was held at the largest dermatologic hospital in the world, the Instituto Dermopatico dell’Immacolata in Rome. The workshop brought together leading hair restoration surgeons from around the globe, including Dr. Robert Leonard of Rhode Island.
Organizing this first-of-a-kind conference in Europe was difficult, yet extremely rewarding. Actually performing live surgery for colleagues to directly observe and interact is the very best way to learn surgical intricacies as well as the nuances of the art of the hair transplantation procedure, said Dr. Robert Leonard.
At the three-day event, international physicians and surgeons, surgical assistants and nurses gathered to learn about the latest practices and techniques of hair restoration.
