NFL Fullback Chris Gronkowski Undergoes Hair Restoration Procedure by Dr. Robert Leonard

Newton, Massachusetts (July 30, 2013) – Dr. Robert Leonard, chief surgeon and founder of Leonard Hair Transplant Associates, recently performed a hair restoration procedure using the Follicular Unit Excision (FUE) technique on San Diego Chargers Fullback Chris Gronkowski, Rob Gronkowski’s older brother.

“When I was faced with thinning hair issues, I knew I wanted the best in the field,” said Chris Gronkowski. “When I met with Dr. Leonard and he told me about the FUE technique and how it is the least invasive hair transplant out there; I knew that was for me.”

Gronkowski received the transplant surgery in late June.  He will begin to see initial results within the next four to six months and full growth at approximately 18 months.

“I am very excited that Chris came to me and was one of my early patients using the Follicular Unit Excision technique,” said Dr. Leonard. “I always strive to provide the best solutions and options for my patients. FUE offers great restoration results with extreme precision, unprecedented levels of safety, efficacy and comfort during the treatment and without linear donor area scarring.”

Hair loss affects a person’s physical appearance and can even impact their self esteem.  Gronkowski is only one of many who are impacted by hair loss issues, 50 million men and 30 million women in the United States suffer from hair loss.  Advancements in technology provide many options today, from a strip transplant procedure to the new Follicular Unit Excision (FUE) technique.

Dr. Leonard is the trusted surgeon for many personalities in addition to Chris Gronkowski including: All Pro Wide Receiver Wes Welker, Professional Poker Player Jeff Gross, Former Professional Hockey Enforcer Lyndon Byers, Film and Television Actor Kevin Chapman, and more.
