Twelve years ago I was diagnosed with breast caner. I valued my life and family the most, but just like any other woman, the loss of my hair was extremely upsetting. I lost my hair, eyelashes, and eyebrows due to chemotherapy. At the time, I got by wearing scarves on my head, hats, and a wig once or twice.
Once all of my treatment was completed, my hair began to grow back. A few months after treatment, my hair was fully-grown; lengthwise. As a woman in her early 40’s, I began to lose my hair once again. My jealously of women with beautiful full hair grew tremendously.
I spent years cutting and styling my hair different ways and wanted nothing more than to have my old hair back. It seemed like everyday my hair had thinned so much more than the day before becoming more and more noticeable. I can just remember standing in front of the bathroom mirror at a million different angles for long periods of time trying to cover the thinning spots. One year later, my confidence has grown, as I am no longer insecure about my hair. Dr. Leonard was amazing and easy to work with. He prescribed a year of Laser Treatments along with a daily regimen of Men’s Rogaine. After the first four months, I could notice improvements not just in my concern areas but my entire scalp! At the six-month mark, family members and friends were noticing and commenting on how great my hair looked. I have just finished my year of Laser Treatments with an amazing full head of healthy hair.
