Rob Lowe Started a Firestorm with His Comments About Prince William’s Hair Loss

Actor Rob Lowe, 55, recently made some rather distasteful comments about Prince William of Great Britain’s hair loss. He said, “Honestly, one of the great traumatic experiences of my life was watching Prince William, 36, lose his hair.” I guess that is not so bad; however, he continued to say: “But he’s going to be the f***ing king of England! And… there’s a pill! The first glimmer that a single hair of mine was going to fall out, I was having stuff mainlined into my f***ing veins. And that’s what I did for the next 30 years.”

While I totally abhor the way that Lowe presented the Prince’s follicular situation, the matter brings up a very important point about treating the loss of one’s hair. That is to treat hair loss as soon as it is recognized! I commented on this a number of years ago and pointed to the much younger Prince William as an example of a young man showing signs of thinning hair. He obviously did not read my blog…

One of the scariest statistics about hair loss is that after 50% has already fallen is when a person begins to notice the thinning! That means that this progressive process is already very much underway. The sooner therapy is begun, the sooner the hair will stop falling…
